How to play Go Fish

Goal
Most books
Objective
Collect the most books. A book is all four cards of one rank, such as all four 7s or all four Queens.
Setup
Each player is dealt cards and the rest go face-down in the pond. You can only see your own hand.
Your Turn

Choose a rank from your hand, then ask another player if they have any cards of that rank.

If they have that rank, they give you all matching cards and you take another turn.

If they do not have that rank, you go fish from the pond. Draw the rank you asked for and you go again; otherwise your turn ends.
Books
When you collect all four cards of a rank, the book is placed in your score area automatically. If you run out of cards and the pond is not empty, you draw back into the game.
Winning
The game ends when all books are claimed or no one has cards left. The player with the most books wins.
Strategy Tips
💡
Ask for ranks where you already hold pairs or triples. Players with bigger hands are usually better targets, and a successful ask lets you keep the turn.
