How to play Crazy Eights

Objective
Be the first player to play all of your cards. Match the top card by suit or rank — and 8s are wild!
Setup
Each player gets 5 cards (with 2 players, deal 7 each instead). One card is turned face-up to start the discard pile. The rest form the draw pile.

Play a card that matches the top card's suit or rank (number/face).

Eights are wild! Play an 8 on anything and choose the new suit.

Can't play? Draw cards one at a time from the draw pile until you get one you can play. If the draw pile runs out, the discard pile is reshuffled (except the top card).
Scoring
When a player empties their hand, they score points for cards remaining in opponents' hands:

Strategy Tips
💡
Save your 8s for when you're stuck — they're your escape card. Try to change the suit to one where you have the most cards. Keep track of what suits opponents seem to be missing and try to play those suits to force them to draw.
